The Centre for Business Law (CBL) provides an interdisciplinary environment for research and scholarship in business law. The organization’s Annual Review was conceived as a flagship marketing piece to position the Centre and generate donor support. The report communicated CBL’s core pillars – education, scholarship and community – with a series of graphic, thematic spreads.
The 2014 report contextualized CBL’s achievements and related them with the Centre’s goals. The messaging consisted of three sections: excellence in scholarship and research, an outstanding learning experience, and engaging the legal and business communities.
The 2013 Report focused on CBL’s strategic plan, particularly apt as the year marked the completion of the Centre’s 3-year plan. A plus symbol – formed by a group of squares – evoked CBL’s business pillars and reflected the value CBL brings to business law practice.
